An Invitation to Photography Exhibition by Mitsuo Suzuki & Robert Adachi

There will be a photo exhibition by Mitsuo Suzuki & Robert Adachi from 10 May to 16 May 2010. It will be held at the Loke Wan Tho Gallery, 3rd level, Selegie Arts Centre.

PSS would like to invite F.U.N. members to join us on 10 May 2010 at 7.30 pm, as both photographers will be giving a talk about their photographs.

Admission is FREE, so please encourage your members to come down to have a look at their photo exhibition, it starts from 11 May to 16 May 2010 (from 11 am to 9.30 pm).

We hope that as many members as possible will take this rare opportunity to  experience directly the wonderful work of these two renowned photographers by attending the exhibition and the talk.

Mitsuo Suzuki

Mitsuo Suzuki during his studies as an artist painting in oils, was strongly influenced and impressed by the works of the Dutch Masters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt. He was awarded a degree from Tokyo Visual Arts in 1986 and then, following an introduction into the world of photography, he gained experience by working in a variety of photographic studios and agencies.

In 1995 he became an independent commercial photographer, specialising in still life and studies of the human form and in 2000, he began to pursue fine art photography.

His work has been exhibited in many galleries around the world, including Tokyo, Washington DC, and Berlin.

Robert Adachi

Robert Adachi was born in 1969 in Japan, he graduated from Tokyo’s Sophia University with a bachelor’s degree in International Legal Studies. His skills in photography were self taught.

His main focus is in black and white gelatine-silver fine art photography. However, he is also involved in editorial, portrait and commercial photography.

He has received many awards in fine art at both national and international levels and was Ozark Artist of the Year in 1987, USA.

Adachi is also a composer of music whose work has been the subject of many live performances and recordings.
